Housing Contracts

So, like a scrub I didn't realize that I had to submit the housing contract by the 14th. I did pay the 300 dollars though, but the contract has still expired.

I've emailed them about my retarded predicament, but what do you guys think I should do?

They might have to send you a new contract but it will probably be okay.

At this time of the year in past years, if you missed your deadline date by a little and let them know, UT Housing was willing to give you another chance.

My son paid the initial $50 but has not heard anything on his acceptance yet. It’s been several months since his application (mid-Oct).

Do you not receive a housing contract until AFTER you have been accepted? Is the housing contract emailed or snail mailed?

According to the housing website, you will not receive a housing contract until after you have been accepted to the University and paid your enrollment deposit. The contract will be e-mailed. Your priority for a contract is based on your original $50 housing deposit, not your acceptance date to the University. So, if it takes awhile, don’t worry!

You can read about it here:

I gather the contracts are sent out in batches according to your acceptance date. I suspect the due date is mainly to spread their workload over the upcoming months rather than have them all due on the same day. Don’t worry. Just call or email them.
