does anyone know when we get our decisions about roommates and colleges?

According to the O-Week website, college assignments will be mailed on July 7 and roommate assignments will be mailed on July 16.

[Rice University O-Week: Undergraduates](http://oweek.rice.edu/undergrad.cfm?doc_id=8654)

all advisors meet over the July 4th weekend. they decide on roommates and rooms. ^ the deadlines are above

Aw. I’ll be out of the country until the 24th =[

dude, ur screwed

the roommate forms self destruct in 5 seconds :P

Crap. Are they only available via mail? So far Rice hasn’t been exactly on the ball when it comes to mailing me things.

as far as i know, they are mailed. these forms are handled more locally, by the res. college itself. they have much less paperwork to deal with. dont worry

Antarius, that’s just what Wiess does. At the other colleges, only the coordinators select roommate pairs, and they do so a bit after the 4th. (I believe last year roommate assignments were due to the dean’s office on the 12th.)

Yeah, silly Wiess.

true. either way, sometime after the 4th was correct!

but Dorian/NYSkins are right about that. Wiess just has a more inclusive process… :P

ahhh i just want to find out my college so badly! i know we aren’t supposed to, but does anyone secretly want to be in a certain college

Hint hint Wiess ;)

dont start hoping. thats my advice. people want to go here and here and get disappointed when they dont get put there. then they realize that their respective college is vastly superior and were silly earlier.

Your college is the best. Fact. once you find out you will see

I secretly want to be in Wiess… =]

^ good secret :P

I think most people want to be in Wiess, myself included :)

well, Wiess has nice rooms. thats really the clincher.

other than that all the res. colleges are the same… so dont bias yourself. Just be happy wherever you get in… ive met people who were “disappointed” on their college placement and Im like ***, u dont know anything…

Literature is biased… only a few colleges here are represented. I mean, out of the senior members at rice here… we have Wiess, Jones, Lovett and Martel I think… thats it
