Housing Deposit Refund?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>My son was accepted into the MSU Engineering program as well as the CoRE housing option. I would like to get my ducks in a row and send in the housing deposit to reserve a spot.</p>

<p>However, we are waiting on decisions from a couple of other colleges, and would like to retain the flexibility of attending elsewhere. The online housing application appears to indicate that sending in the deposit commits you to living on campus at MSU.</p>

<p>Can anyone provide some guidance on how best to manage this?</p>

<p>Thanks, it makes sense. However, the AED is refundable with a written request by May 1, so I thought there might be a similar drop dead deadline here.</p>
