Housing deposit!

Hi guys!

I’ve been accepted into the fall 2021 term and I am thinking of doing the whole annual apartment for the fall-summer kind of thing.

UCF is in my top schools but I’m not sure if I’m going due to money and offers and such still being decided.

I was just wondering if I could submit my housing application/put down a deposit without accepting my seat.

If I can, i just pay that $250 and if I end up not going and cancel I just won’t get my deposit back and that’s all right? There aren’t going to be any extra additional fees because I cancelled?

Also are first years allowed to be in the same apartment as sophomores? I have a friend who’s the same age but graduated a year early going and we’d like to be roomies!

Thanks for reading and helping me out I just want to make sure I have my housing!

Yes, you can apply for housing after acceptance, but before you actually commit to UCF.

Rather than give you bad info on any possible refunds, I would suggest that you call UCF housing and ask them directly. The info is also available on the housing webpage, and the answer may vary depending on which specific community you sign up for.

At the same time you call to ask the refund question, ask them about rooming with a sophomore. I don’t think there is any rule against it, but I don’t know how you go about actually getting into his room.

Housing is usually very responsive and helpful. Their phone number is on their webpage at UCF.edu.

Congratulations, and good luck!
