When are the housing deposits due for Michigan???? b/c I know that Wisconsin-Madison just passed but I definetely won't be attending.

They send out the housing info to the people that have deposited to Michigan saying they're attending by March 1st first. However, the official deadline for depositing is May 1st. I e-mailed the Michigan admissions officer about this with some concerns that I had, and here is her reply:

Hi My Real Name!

Congratulations on your admission! I am more than happy to try and answer your questions for you! Students who send in their enrollment deposits by March 1 will receive the first housing and orientation information. All freshman are guaranteed housing, so you will have a place to live regardless of when you send in your enrollment deposit (as long as it's by May 1). There are many choices for orientation dates and you will be able to rank a few dates you are able to attend. I know spaces are reserved in some classes for students with later orientation dates, so just because you don't come during one of the first sessions doesn't mean you won't get any of the classes you want.
I encourage you to send in your enrollment deposit when you are ready (as long as it's by May 1)! You will not be at a loss. I hope this helps! Thanks for writing!
