Housing Email. help!

<p>So I send in my deposit 3 days ago, and I'm waiting to get the housing email, which comes to the michigan email. When does it come?</p>

<p>I went in to the "my housing" site and it says:</p>

<p>Our system does not recognize you as newly admitted freshman matriculated to the University of Michigan. This web site is for students of that group applying for on-campus housing for Spring/Summer 2009 and/or the 2009-10 academic year. </p>

<p>If you are a newly admitted freshman matriculated to the University of Michigan for Spring, Summer or Fall Term 2009, and you mailed in your enrollment deposit at least two weeks ago, contact the Housing Information Office at <a href="mailto:housing@umich.edu">housing@umich.edu</a> or 734-763-3164. </p>

<p>Do I have to wait 2 weeks? When are they going to send me the email? I'm getting impatient here :( (I need to get Central/Hills)</p>

<p>If you send it online through e-Check, you should get your email in the next few days. If you sent it by mail, it will take roughly 2 weeks to process, then they will send you an email regarding housing and Uniqname.</p>

<p>Don’t worry about the housing :slight_smile: If you send your application (which is online) before May 7th, you’re automatically entered in the lottery and everyone who sent their app in before May 7th has a fair shot. If you hand it in later, you’ll just get what’s left over. You have plenty of time left!</p>

<p>wow thank you be_somebody! I did it online, and I already have my unique name. Just waiting for the housing email to come… and dilksy, thank you for the useful info.</p>

<p>So UM’s going to send the housing email soon right?</p>

<p>I have the same problem, I paid deposit online on the 9th of april and the system still gives me the same message as you, the one where it doesnt recognize me as a new student.</p>

<p>I think the housing email should take a couple days</p>
