Housing fees on your bill yet?

I was looking at my bill on tritonlink, and it basically shows everything except for Housing. I don't see my housing fees on the bill at all. Is this the same for everyone else?

Maybe they'll appear after the Sept 15th deadline?

You haven't signed your housing contract yet. Once you sign it, the bill will appear.

How much is everything? It says I owe like 700 bucks.

where and when do you sign the housing contract?

So the current bill we have really does include everything we need to pay just except for the housing bill?

And, do we get billed three times a year?

yeah i think we only get billed the tuition three times a year (if you chose that method), but we get billed housing only once a year

correct?

So we'll get billed like 10K right now? (because dorms cost like 3K a quarter right?)

You sign the contract soon. It should be coming in the mail around this time.

You will select your payment plan. If you select a one-time payment, your bill will reflect that and you have to pay all of it the current due data. If you select monthly, you will get a bill monthly. Quarterly, billed every quarter.

for housing? we did that with tuition already.

I don't get it, what did you do already?

So the amount that we have on our bill right now, is that monthly or quarterly? Because according to roflkeke, we haven't chosen our payment option yet.

I think he was talking about the housing payment plans. (I hope, because if you are right, then thats a ton of money we need to pay!)

Listen. If you did not sign the housing contract yet, you are not billed for it. How can you be billed for something you have yet agreed upon?

The housing contract is where you legally choose your payment, and then there is everything you agree upon as a resident. It is a big list. You should know if you signed it.

The stuff on the bill right now is for stuff you need to pay by the current due date (End of September/Early October). That is all that it is, nothing more. If you get housing, you will get billed whatever is needed for this due date. Be it a month's charge, a quarter's charge, or a year's charge.

do our initial deposit money go into part of the housing bill or does ucsd keep that money until the end of the year (like apartment deposits)?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought we already signed our Housing Contract back in June. I just checked http://myapplication.ucsd.edu and it says "Your Housing Contract is now complete. You will receive your room assignment in early September from your college of residence." I recall picking which payment plan I wanted, and asking for me to sign it virtually (or something along those lines).
The housing payment has also not appeared on my bill btw.

EDIT: Just found this https://hds.ucsd.edu/housing/faq.html#billing

I've been reading on this forum...and it seems ROFLKEKE puts out a TON of BS.

When you sign your contract, you do not select your payment method. You were supposed to select payment method (monthly, quarterly, etc) when you completed your personal-preferences housing application.

When your contract is verified, you will be billed whatever method you chose.

So he makes a mistake... out of bunches of answers he nailed pretty good on, that's a fine track record I'd say.
