Housing for an engineering student - please help!

Hi,

I'm doing bioengineering next year at Cal. After reading some of the other housing threads on this forum, I've decided to order my housing preferences like this:

1) Foothill double
2) Foothill triple
3) Unit 3 double/Unit 1 double
4) Unit 3 triple/Unit 1 triple
5) Any housing

The thing is I can't decide what to choose for slots #3 and 4. I've eliminated Unit 2 and Clark Kerr because they're both too far, and I've eliminated Bowles because it's all male.

However, what would be better for a bioengineering student - unit 1 or unit 3?

You're a freshie, right? The majority of your classes won't be situated around Foothill.. so I don't think you'll have that much of an advantage.

Unit 3 for the food!

Yeah, I'm a freshie. Unit 3 > Unit 1 just for the food? Is there a significant difference in room size or new-ness between unit 1 and 3?
