HOUSING for freshman

no one has to answer that last post I have figured it out (and plus it was mentioned earlier in the forum)

One dorm I haven’t heard anyone talk about on this board is Newman Hall. It is about as close to the quad as you can get, has some of the best food on campus (of dorms), and has some really nice rooms on the north side (this is the first year its in use), and pretty good rooms on the south for cheaper. It is a little more expensive than some other places, but it is worth it in my opinion.

I think many people are driven away because Newman Hall is attached to the Catholic Church on campus, and, although many people there are Catholic, they in no way push it upon you, and I know many people who belong to other churches, or are even atheists. I will say, however, that it is not as diverse as other dorms, but it still has a fair amount of diversity.

Does anyone know how to cancel the contract for private certified housing?
i want to apply for residence halls in stead…

what dorms would anybody recommend for an incoming freshman business student? also, is it hard to meet people through PCH since the rooms are suite style? Thanks for the help!

Hey I’m gonna be a freshman this fall, bio major… I heard that the dorms in the six-pack are the party dorms, which halls are those? I heard some halls are known for the party-girls…and I don’t really want to live there. What dorms are good for studying, but like not too studious and still has excitement (but not keg parties and super loud music, etc) :p
