Hi, I've recently searched the NU website and northbynorthwestern, but I'm still confused by the housing options. I'm a mccormick freshman, and I hope to stay in the dorm where I can concentrate on my own stuffs, while at the same time, a welcoming and easy atmosphere is also very important to me. I exclude slivka and ayar because they are quite more expensive than others. And my top options right now is sargent(my fav, but how hard it is to get into sargent?),hinman-lincoln,elder(is it noisy all the time? but it's in the north),shepard(seems to be recommended by all, my worry is the distance to tech, how long does it take to get there?),1835(...because I can't find more satisfying choice.....) help!? I need your advice!! Great thanks!!

1835 hinman is toooo far away…great lake view tho…

Try ISRC (West Fairchild) instead of Elder. Elder does not sound like you will like it, whereas ISRC will be plenty quiet and give you you time.

Is this for next year (class of 2015)? because i thought the housing applications were due in May/June.

This is just the case of people stumbling on an old thread and giving their answers without taking a look at be date of the OP. In this instance Skywalker the thread is from mid May.
