A friends daughter was offered an internship at Viacom for the summer, Any suggestions on reasonable housing. I know, that is an oxymoron for Los Angeles. Of course we know the usuals, Craigslist, Airbnb, UCLA. Any other suggestions?
It appears you have to be enrolled at UCLA to do summer housing, so that may not be an option.
How about sub-letting from a UCLA student who is renting a private apartment? I assume most private apartments in the Westwood area require year long leases, and many students don’t need and/or want to stay in the apartment over the summer. (At least that’s the way it works in Berkeley) Westwood is only a few miles from Santa Monica. You could check Facebook groups, UCLA Reddit, even UCLA housing website may have some info or links about this.
