“Due to the tremendous demand for housing in the fall, we do not anticipate having on-campus housing for incoming transfer students or UA students not currently living in on-campus housing for fall 2012.”

I plan on transferring for the fall of 2012 and I don’t plan on finding off-campus housing.
What are the chances they might give some transfer students on campus housing?

that pretty much says it all. i wouldn’t count on that at all.

If think I would be looking for an apartment before they are gone.

While your chances don’t look good, I would call Housing and talk to one of the “higher up” folks to find out if anything is possible.

With the opening of the new dorm to replace Rose, it may be possible that housing might become available for a transfer student IF Bama has empty beds to fill…

However, you wouldn’t know that until quite late…and that could mean losing your chance for finding off-campus housing.

* and I don’t plan on finding off-campus housing.

You probably need to find off-campus housing.

check out East Edge. it’s fully furnished, located between the hospital and the law school. About the same price as a dorm, closer to the stadium and quad than some dorms.
