I'm currently a freshman at Penn State University Berks Campus and I plan to transfer to Temple University in the fall of 2012. I submitted my application and Temple is waiting on my spring semester grades to make a final decision. I was told that I would not hear back until May or June, so I was wondering what my options would be for housing. I realize that housing will probably be filled up by that point since returning students and incoming freshmen are already making their housing choices. I talked to a few employees at Housing and Food Services; one woman told me that Temple actually sets aside spots specifically to accommodate transfer students. Does this mean that I have a good chance at getting a spot on-campus? Should I bank on on-campus housing or figure on looking off-campus? I know that housing isn't guaranteed for anyone, but I'd hope that they'd do something to make sure that at least a lot of transfers get on-campus housing. I'd prefer to live on-campus since I'm new to the school and I won't really know anyone yet.

This is late but I’ll be a transfer in the fall as well and chose on campus housing to meet people too since I know it’ll be hard. They told me all transfers are placed in the edge although their website says otherwise so I was placed there… Any luck with you?
