<p>My daughter just submitted her housing app, putting two residential colleges at the top of her preferences. It seems that apps to residential colleges are supposed to be accompanied by a “personal statement.” But she says she didn’t see any place to put a personal statement or other essay on her application. </p>

<p>What can she do now? (Thanks for any advice.)</p>

<p>I’m a junior, so I can’t login to see the freshman application. However, you could email <a href=“mailto:housing@northwestern.edu”>housing@northwestern.edu</a> or perhaps call 847-467-4663 on Monday to see if there’s anything to do about that.</p>

<p>Under contracts and building preferences when your daughter logs in, it says special use building applications. That’s where you put the essays.</p>
