<p>Which UC? You cannot commit to housing until you SIR to the school of your choice. My son just SIR’d to UCD on Sunday. SIRing is $100.00 non-refundable, and the deposit was $500. The Freshman housing deadline is May 6. He will be notified in August about his selection. UCD guarantees housing for freshman. </p>
