<p>Is housing at CUNY, Hunter College free?</p>
<p>Hunter does have free housing for kids in the Macaulay Honors College:</p>

Beginning with the class of 2014, students accepted to the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, those who matriculate in the fall of 2010, will have the option of a free Brookdale Residence Hall room for up to three years, excluding summers. This option for a free room for three years applies only to the fall and spring terms. Students will have dorm access for their fourth year, but they will be charged for the room at the Brookdale Residence Hall. The Director of Financial Aid will provide a list of loans to eligible students who are not able to pay for the dorm room in their fourth year.<br>

<p>A friend of my daughter’s is in the program, and he’s in a single. It’s an amazing perk, and it’s in addition to the free tuition, laptop, etc. </p>
