housing info

Hi I was just wondering whether we would receive housing information through our email or by any other means.

Got it through email and then a week later by snail mail.

For those applying to housing next year - here is a data point. My daughters friend applied for housing April 4th (College of Arts and Sciences) and got put out at Williams Village (last choice, not even on her list). My daughter also applied on the 4th (Engineering) and got her first choice (Aden). Anyway, if you want to live on the main campus and you’re in the College of A&S get your housing app in early (before April). You have a little more time if your in Engineering and don’t mind living in the Engineering dorms.

Son has two buddies who didn’t commit & send deposit/housing until last minute. According to him, they haven’t heard about dorms. AEL-is your engineering student in an “engineering dorm?” I would also think that those dorms must be coed and hungry for some estrogen to balance out the mix? We took a risk sending the cash before hearing from his final school, and at least son is “on the green” (& I think that Willard is no longer Substance fee?) THANK goodness for CC and all you UCB authorities who clued me in on the importance of getting that dorm selection in early!!! That said, can anyone give me any more insight to Willard? Something that’s not on the web site blurb? It appears that they recently completed (or ARE completing) a big renovation there? anyone…anyone?
