funny what is YOUR allusion and r u planning to go homeever

funny - what are you talking abt?

"i move in the 22nd! what can we POSSIBLY do for a whole weekend at UCLA?"

Post on CC? :p

haha, I'm not bringing my laptop that weekend.

my allusion is there, haha. I'll maybe go home once or twice every two weeks. u? namaste?

anyone know if move in assistants get a parking permit for the day they move in? (which is the 19th)

well funny is the allusion popular culture, something we learned about orientation, CC related?? a hint would be nice!

i plan to stop by once a week at home for a couple hours but hopefully not sleep over very often. so probably the same schedule as you. you're even closer than me.

I don't know Jason, have you heard from your RA [or whoever's in charge] yet?

Wow, if I hadn't seen this thread, I would be completely in the dark about my housing status. But then again it probably wouldn't matter since I don't have any housing. The Office of Residential Life is great, isn't it?

i might get a quadruple? (or quintuple?)

oh wells, the more the merrier. :D

but my housing type is "D" so... it'd be pretty cool to have a lounge-sized room with a double. heh

anyways, when are the emails supposed to have been sent? a lot of people here seem to have already gotten theirs (but i haven't).

:(

I haven't gotten mine either, but one roommate already found me on Facebook. Guess we'll just have to keep waiting.

09/22 9 am move-in date...SV

Not looking fwd to the foot traffic. I experienced just that when I helped my sis move-in to her CAL dorm.

"I have canyon point and in the email it says suite. I thought sunset village consists of plazas. Does canyon point havse shared or private baths?"

I got the same thing. I think it's private, since my housing info pretty much stays the same as before, except w/out the "suite" part. Can anyone clarify, please?

At first I was assigned to Rieber Vista Triple. Then about a week ago I got an email that said De Neve Triple and now they said they dont have any housing for me so I will be put in a lounge with like 4 people in Dykstra. Lol I wonder if I should cancel.

what do people usually do after they move-in? are there any planned events for us or do people just get to know their roomies, and do their own things?

There's Welcome Week (google it and UCLA and you should be able to find it).

I don't think it starts until a few days after though?

only cancel if you have somewhere else to live... you wouldn't want to be homeless... anyway, housing will find a spot for you in an actual room as soon as they can...

welcome weeks starts the first day of move-in i believe however, most of the events are in the afternoon/evening

I wonder who's going to play for welcome week this year. We got Thrice last year.

If lounges are now rooms, where do we meet haha

lauclasf - I searched the forums. I'm pretty sure if the housing info does not specifically state "shared bath" then we get a private bath =)
