No I do not believe that is correct. I have been assigned to a double in mesa court, and my roommate has been assigned a move-in day on the 16th. I, however, was assigned for the 17th.

How do u tell what 'phase' you're in? oh btw, im in mC- Cumbre

asianpanda - my honors advisor said if you can't move in during the date&time assigned to you, you have to call Housing to let them know.

iloveants - I have no clue how MC phases work. It doesn't say on the site.. I always hear about ME phases though so maybe only ME has different phases

I got Middle Earth - Valimar which is Phase III, the newest. but I saw pictures of a Phase III hall and it didn't look new to me at all. oh well

iloveants--I think the phases in MC are the same thing as the "units" shown on the housing info page. So you would be in Unit II.

For the Mesa Court "phases/units", is Unit 1 the oldest and Unit 4 the newest? Or vice versa? Does anyone know?

unit 1=oldest and unit 4=newest. i think.

Does anyone know the differences between phase 1 and phase 4? After staying at Otero during SPOP, I figured I would be in a similar dorm, but I ended up getting phase 4. Phase 4 has three story buildings. I'm really curious how it's structured now. Is it similar to the older phases?

when my friends took me around they showed me both phase 1 and 4 and from what i saw phase 4 is way bigger and the bathrooms are hecka nicers than the phase 1s but people also said being in the phase 1s are more homely since its smaller instead of three stories but i think its all a matter of opinion and everyone will love wherever they're assigned to. however, i havent gotten my roomate assignment, should i be worried?

i got a triple in mesa-cielo but arent these dorms only meant for singles and doubles?

Double and triple dorm rooms are the same size. Singles are tiny. At least, the only ones I've ever seen were, unless you're an RA; they get the regular sized rooms (double/triple) all to their own.

jas0n: "So far, my guy is pretty cool. Nothing bad about him . I'm from San Jose so I haven't personally gotten my info yet like you. If noone contacts you by the end of today, you probably a: have a non-social roommate or b: have a roommate outside of socal (most likely norcal). Good luck!"

SHADY...; i'm from norcal, and my roomie's a socal, and I was the one who initiated the contacting and introducing myself to her..tsktsk. and she said that she got her mail the same day i did (i got mine yesterday)..i highly doubt that's true.

Affined:

I doubt that All residents in SoCal got their housing assignments last week. Perhaps your roommate was one of the few in SoCal that did not get hers until just now.

Don't analyze the situation of who contacted who first and who's social and who's not and who's nice and who's not. Don't read into things like that too much.

Mesa Court doubles are only 182 square feet while the triples are 240 square feet.

so im one of the people that got stuck in a double but has two other roomates. does that mean we get a bunk bed and then a single bed? also, does that also mean we'll only have two closets? grrrrh.

PointZero: Serious!? I've never heard of such a thing. If it wasn't for the lack of air conditioning, I'd say that the housing is pretty damn incredible, but, I heart air conditioning, so.... oh well.

(I'm a transfer, so I've never really seen the dorms here, other than when I lived in ME for like a week many years ago on some summer program)

rainingreasons - are you living in Mesa or Middle? For Middle Earth, they'd probably provide a third wardrobe/closet thing because it's not attached to the room. as for Mesa... I don't know what'll happen =

mesa should have 3 closets since they are the newer ones..
