Housing is Up!

Go to <a href="https://www10.georgetown.edu/housing/academic/staff/index.cfm%5B/url%5D">https://www10.georgetown.edu/housing/academic/staff/index.cfm</a></p>

Log in, then click on Residence Condition Report, it should say the hall and room you are in somewhere on the page. Good luck.

Good work! (Just in case anyone else has reading comprehension skills similar to mine, the room/hall are in big black letters in the big blue area at the top of the screen).

this can't be right.....it's putting me in LXR. If you look at the invoice they send you...it has the cost of your room on it....and on the website, they post the rates of each dorm for the semester. There are only 4 possible matches for me and LXR is not one of them.

Since housing assignments are not completed by the time initial bills are charged, all freshmen and sophomore transfer students will be charged a "New Student Housing" charge in the July bill. Once assignments are completed, additional charges or credits will be made to the student account based on the final assignment. We will notify students so that you can be aware of the charge before service charges are made.

Wait...were you guys also given the $4,049 charge as well?

No...mine is $3788 & I'm in Village C (allegedly).

...then im gonna give up and just wait.

FYI: They appear to have removed our access to this page until the 7th.

What does "VCW 631" stand for?

Village C West

downloaded the schematics. my room site looks awesome.

You could be in LXR if you applied to a living-learning community.

i didnt apply to a LLC......with a the potential $4,049 housing bill...it puts me in line for Alumni Square, Henle, Village A, or Nevils. But im just gonna wait until the 7th to really care....its not a big deal.

My bill shows a charge of $4,049 and corresponds with "Alumni Square".
Ehhh, seems to good to be true. Don't sophomores fight tooth and nail to get into Village B (Alumni Square?)

I'm guessing its just a standard charge until they actually place me in a dorm.

Some of the Village B apartments are hit and miss. Most of the ones left over for sophs are tiny. I know a lot of transfer students who have gotten stuck in Village B, but never any freshmen. Maybe the yield was larger than Georgetown thought and so they had to kick a few upperclassmen out?

How are you guys figuring out where you are, anyway? Are you just going off your bill or housing-at-a-glance? Because you really shouldn't listen to anything your bill says, because it is subject to change.

There was a mistake in georgetown's access for a short period of time that allowed freshmen to check their housing assignments, and those that were assigned could see where they were.

so i am in LXR now!

<a href="https://www10.georgetown.edu/housing/academic/glance/%5B/url%5D">https://www10.georgetown.edu/housing/academic/glance/</a>
that's the page u guys should be looking at.

why no housing posted for me yet? everyone i've talked to has a room by now. anyone know what's up?

noroom4me, it is possible that they are still trying to find a place for you...maybe they had a bigger yield this year than they were expecting and have to move people around. Maybe try waiting a week or two and then if it's still not up contact Georgetown.
