Housing Last Minute Changes

Hey guys, this may be a last minute thing. But I really like South, but I also want a single. And in the housing PDF thing this year, they said that South offers freshmen "small singles." I really don't care how small the single is. So, I put my first preference as wanting a single, and my first choice as South. I also said in my little additional preferences box that if South didn't have anymore singles, I would rather be placed in a single elsewhere and not in a double in South.

Is this too risky? Should I change my first choice back to BJ? Or do I actually have a high probability of getting a single in South?

You have 'till June 1st before it’s penalized.

^ Err thanks, didn’t really answer my question, but it’s okay.

I remember reading somewhere on the UChicago forums (in the admitted students’ portal) that one student said that dorm assignments are made more on the basis of the questionnaire than on the 3 you choose. He said that he was put into a dorm that wasn’t his first choice, but one that fit the answers he gave to the questions.

So I think they will do their best to put you in a single.
