<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I will be attending UMich in the fall, and I applied for the Living Arts MLC, but I think my question could apply to any of the communities:</p>

<p>I received an email from Living Arts saying that I was accepted into the community if I still wished to join. At the same time, I received the housing contract email, and in the housing details it says that my room is in Bursley Hall, in the Living Arts hallway. This is all as expected. My question is...what happens if I decline the invitation to join Living Arts? Am I reentered into the housing pool this late in the process? Will I live in the same room anyway?</p>

<p>I think this question could apply for any of the MLCs and if anyone can help, that would be great!</p>

<p>There was one person that I know of who half way through the year dropped out of the MLC that she was in. She was not allowed to stay in her room because she was no longer part of the community. While it is not the same situation that you are asking about, I would believe that the result would be similar.</p>
