<p>I read on the UCF website that in March the housing website will allow students to select dorm room and roommate. How do we actually go about selecting a roomate? Would someone who my DS knows and wants to share a dorm room had to register online at about the same time?</p>

<p>I think you need to know the roomate’s PID number and they need to know yours when you choose your preference in March.</p>
<p>Housing selection is up now. You need your roomate’s NID number if you have a roommate preference.</p>

<p><strong><em>Cancellation</em></strong>
If you no longer need on-campus housing at UCF, please reply to this message with your full name, PID, and a request to cancel your summer 2009 housing. The $100 summer prepayment is not refundable.</p>
<p><strong><em>Room and Roommate Preferences</em></strong>
You may select one roommate and list your top three choices of room types by going to myUCF > Student Self Service > Housing > Preferences. You may update or change preferences until May 1, 2009.</p>
<p><strong><em>Room Assignments</em></strong>
Room assignments for summer housing will be available by June 1, 2009. You can view your room assignment in myUCF.</p>

<p><strong><em>Frequently Asked Questions</em></strong></p>
<p>Where do most students live in the summer? Most students will be assigned to the Nike and Hercules Communities. Overflow housing will be in the Lake Claire Apartments.</p>
<p>How much does summer housing cost? Summer housing for session B ranges from $915 - $1,087.50 depending on your room assignment. The $100 prepayment will be applied towards your summer rent.</p>
<p>When will I know how much to pay? Your housing rent will be charged to your student account in myUCF after you receive your room assignment. Payment is due by Friday, June 19, 2009.</p>
<p>Can I stay in the same for summer and fall? No. You should not bring a lot of items because you will have to take everything home with you at the end of summer.</p>
