Housing options too late?

Hi,
I just decided that I am going to go to UIUC this upcoming semester. Should I be worried because I probably am going to get the worst housing available. (worried enough to go to a different school I'm already enrolled in and planning to withdraw from). Also, is anyone else able to get onto Apply for Housing form it seems to be down.

You can apply untill May 15th.
Dunno wheather you'd get a spot though. But housing is guaranteed for freshman so you will get a place.

yeah you'll get a place... in PAR/FAR.

Start calling private residence halls and see if you can get in. Try Presby Hall, it looks like its gonna be sweet.

i applied for housing around april 15th or so. Do you think i'll get one of my three preferences?
I applied for LLCs if it makes a difference.

I accepted my offer of admission an hour before the deadline and wound up in the Weston Exploration living learning community, which in general is quite nice since they have a lot of programs for 30 bucks a year (but is still in the 6 pack, which is kind of, whatever.)
However, one of my two roommates is the biggest nightmare of all nightmares EVER. A general poll of fellow students on my floor indicates that there is no amount of money you could pay the average person to live with her.
moral of this tale: your living situation could suck anywhere, even whatever college you're considering that isn't UIUC. also, par/far isn't too bad at all, just a little far from the quad, (but very close to the sports fields, which as a UIUC lacrosse player, actually made me a bit jealous)

anyhow, it's only the first year, and if you need to you can always change housing at winter break if you even need to. please don't let your living situation determine where you go to college; it should be a pretty low priority.
plus, uiuc is the shiz. hope you come.

Yeah...and some of those private residences are sweet...

Phinxae...how was your experience at Weston?
I wanna be in an LLC too and chose Garner LEADS, Weston and Allen in that order....although i still can change them...

LLCs make their selection at the end, so it doesn't matter if you apply later for those, which is why phinxae got in.

I was in Garner LEADS. I chose it in March cause I knew I didn't wanna live in PAR/FAR... it worked. It might be a little different than the other floors because it attracts high school student government nerds and kids that want something to put on their resume, but otherwise you're in the six pack and should have a good time at crappy fraternities' rush parties.

I read on the Allen website that they make the selection based entirely on the date of apying the deposit and on whether or not you write the essay....
Are you sure about the other LLCs though?

Are most of the private residence halls already filled? In particular I'm looking at IT, Hendrick, Bromley, any others I should be looking at as incoming freshman?
