I was accepted admissions to Iowa State University for Fall 2014, Major-Chemical Engineering. Since I am an international student, visiting the campus is impossible for me. Could anybody help me choose which building or hall to live in?

Thanks in advance!!!

Small info about me- 17 yr old male, would like to party occasionally but not that much. Would love if the residence hall would be a walking distance or at least near the college of engineering. I love studying.

Friley - old traditional style res hall on west side of campus (near engineering). Not known as a huge party hall. Great traditional res hall but very large.

Martin and Eaton - newer suite style but also more expensive; next to Friley. Neither are party dorms at all.

Helser - old res hall not in the best of shape; next to Friley. Biggest party dorm on the west side of campus. Lots of loud frosh.

Thank you so much Haystack

@ Haystack-So i did a bit of research and found out that union drive neighbourhood was the nearest to the college of engineering. Could you tell me which hall in union drive neighbourhood is the largest?
thank you

I mean halls having the largest rooms

No problem, already chose Friley Hall.

Friley fills up fast so while you requested it, you may not get it. Make sure you have good 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choices.
