Any NYU student can use the one at Palladium. There's no reason to pick 3rd North over UHall.

Hm.. for some reason, I think I'm one of the few looking at Goddard. Granted, there's one exploration I'm really interested in, so that's why I'm looking at that dorm.

i heard its official, uhall is soph only next year =(

whered you hear this from?

wont nyu be short on dorms for freshman if they make an entire frosh dorm only available for upperclassmen?

Dude, superman, not true. I just filled out my housing form on NYUHome and UHall is definitely one of the six choices for freshmen.

yay =) i hope i get into u-hall!

u hall is not sophomore- i just filled out my housing request and it was on there

Just wondering which might be the best dorm for Tisch students? And any comments about the dorms that are closest to Tisch? Food is a definite factor for me. (So is price, unfortunately.) Thanks!

sanity, there is no best dorm for Tisch students. It would depend on which major you are in Tisch, if you're in Drama then what studio, etc., all kinds of different factors. "Closest to Tisch" isn't the real consideration. Have you visited campus?

.........ditto

oops sorry guys for the wrong info!! one of my NYU sources told me it was def part of the new sophmore cluster but i guess they were wrong.. but how did you guys already fill out your housing? i havent gotten any new emails in my nyu mailbox...hmmmm

superman - don't worry, that was a rumor here on campus also.

Thanks-- the major is drama, the studio is probably Experimental Theater, possibly Cap 21, have visited the campus but you don't get any tours of the dorms, so I was wondering if the choices might be different for a drama major in Tisch than elsewhere at NYU. I find it incredibly helpful just to hear about the different options, and what the dorms are actually like, in terms of space, bathrooms, bugs (oh well), the food etc. So thanks in advance to anyone who tosses in their two cents here. It was great to see the photos of that one dorm room. Makes the unreal seem more real.

What's everyone's opinions of Rubin and Brittany? Aside from neither of them having air conditioning...

I think I'm going Rubin #1, Brittany #2, Hayden #3

HaloThruTheMud,
That's a terrible idea. Rubin and Brittany blow, don't have ac (as you noted), and are not as close to classes or the park as Hayden. I see no reasoning behind your list.

it depends on what college he's going to.. but for cas- they are all about the same from classes- it's not like it's a hop across the park.
Weistein is the closest... but no one seems to want to go there
Brittany is closer then rubin
I'd go hayden brittany rubin (hayden has ac lol). That is unless you really really want Rubin's 5th avenue address.

i'm posting here so that the Official Decisions 2005 thread will DISAPPEAR!!!

Just in case anyone hasn't seen Hayden Photos yet

Any thoughts on Goddard, anyone?

Goddard, from what i know, is very heavily explorations/themed
