If any of you out there have either a specific request for pictures of the rooms in a certain dorm or pictures of your own, I thought it'd be great to start a thread to share.

Personally I'd like to see pictures of a PA hall double and the bathroom... if anyone can help me out it'd be just nifty.

And I have a few pictures of a moved-in and decorated holland double for anyone interested.

Ohhh this is an awesome idea. I’ve got pictures of a Forbes Hall room and two different Forbes Craig apartments, (moved in for Forbes Hall and both moved in and moved out for Forbes Craig) if anyone would like to see them.

This is a great idea!!! If anyone has any photos of a double in the towers that would be awesome

My daughter is in a double in Holland Hall and would love to see the pictures you have. She was hoping for Towers but is starting to like the idea of Holland.

The second closet was on the wall between the doorway and the other closet, but did not intrude on the room, just opened to that wall.

The rooms are all shaped differently, in fact ours was one of the most oddly shaped rooms, which is why we had a very difficult time coming up with logical ways to organize our furniture. But they are ABSOLUTELY more spacious than towers and Lothrop rooms.

Most have two of the style of closet pictured in my third image. Some very lucky room owners will find they have enormous, almost walk-in closets. Some have private bathrooms, which ours did, but unfortunately I did not grab pictures of. The door to our bathroom is just outside of the (right side of) my first picture. We did not find out about the private bathrooms until about the week before I moved in, when the school called and warned me that I should bring cleaning supplies, since I shared a semi-private bathroom with the double next door.

Another helpful thing to do would be to look at this youtube video, where a girl moves into her 7th floor room (start around 1:15 to avoid some boring stuff):
[YouTube - Nicole’s Dorm Room](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

I hope that wasn’t too overwhelming, and I hope it helps! I really, really enjoyed living in Holland Hall, and I think most girls do.

Oh, and if anyone also has pictures of a Lothrop single, for one of my friends, that’d be awesome.

Thank you so much for the pictures. My daughter is going to love seeing these. pictures. What was your room number? My daughter is in room 5, it looks like a pretty normal shapped room.

I was in 220! I just looked and the floor plan looks accurate for my room, actually.

ohtactlessone- thanks for posting the pics of Holland! My D will be rooming in a Holland double. I was wondering what did you use to hang things up on the walls? Can you use small nails or tacks? scotch tape? Also, do the rooms have full length mirrors?

I used the 3M wall strip hangers that don’t leave marks to hang things up… They will bill you if you use nails or tacks. I also had a collage made of small pictures and for that I used scotch tape, but that won’t be strong enough for heavy posters. I found that the 3M strips were perfect for most posters, just use one on each corner and make sure you can reach the tab so you can pull it out from under the poster carefully at the end of the year.

Some rooms, if I remember correctly, have a full-length mirror on a closet or bathroom door. But I think it’s really a luck-of-the-draw situation and you might wind up having to grab one after you move in. What I’d do if I were you is wait, see if you have one, and if you don’t, take a quick trip to Target (at the Waterfront… or I’ve heard tell that there might be one in Bakery Square by the time we’re all moving in) and grab one along with any other stuff you might realize you want after moving your stuff in. It takes a LOT of the stress off packing to remember that you can run to Target.

Once again, I carry myself away with unnecessary advice :)

thanks your advice is much appreciated!

I second the 3M wall hook things. I used them to hang a few heavy items (banner with some weight to it) and lighter things like my towel and such. You can find them at RiteAid. (This is what I used: [Buy 3M Command Strips Damage-Free Hanging: General Purpose Designer Hook Set, 2 small / 2 medium hooks Online at riteaidonlinestore.com](http://www.riteaidonlinestore.com/3m-command-strips-damage-free-hanging-general-purpose-designer-hook-set-2-small-2-medium-hooks/qxp166483))

Anyone have pictures of Ruskin hall? I actually saw the apartment I’m going to be living in but want a reminder of how big the double room in a triple apartment really is because that’s what I’m living in. I’m trying to remember how big it is compared to my room this past year in Towers because my roommate and I definitely aren’t going to bunk the beds but I’m worried that we’ll feel very crowded that way.

It all depends on the room you’re in. I’ve seen doubles that were huge and doubles where all the furniture barely fit. What are the last two numbers of your room? (i.e. 08, 11, 14 etc.)

the last 2 numbers are 03. the apartment is set up really nicely and is open and big but i cant remember about the double room

AwesomeOpossum, I will be living in Forbes Craig this year and would love to see your pictures (both moved in and moved out). Thanks!

PASenior: Please PM me your email and I will gladly send you photos! Are you living in a triple single, a double/single, or a double? (I only have pics of the first two).
