Housing: Plaza vs Res Hall

I don't know - when I visited the triples in the plazas (de neve) looked way more cramped than the triples in the res halls. Aren't they about the same size?

yea they are literally the same. so i guess all that money is being spent on the private bathroom

I remember the closets in Plazas being bigger than the halls

w00t! Now I can FINALLY have enough closet space to store my expansive collection of high heels and cowboy boots.

Actually, after reading this discussion and a couple others, I think I want to live in a hall my first year. Only problem is I already submitted my housing app...[:/]. I just hope they run out of space for me in the plazas!

hey is it possible to have three roommates who are the same? my two friends who are rooming together asked me to join them, so do you think they'll let us room as 3? or most likely, will i not stick with them and be put off to random roommates?

"who are the same," i meant "who all know each other"

What's Puzzles?

I think it's an eating place near Hedrick's. Our tour guide said something about it closing permanently.

It's not near Hedrick. It's in Sunset Village. Puzzles is not closing permanently. It's closing next year while it's being re-evaluated. Crossroads may change their menu to one similar to Puzzle's.

Puzzles is a take-out restaurant on the residential hill that serves fast food from 8 PM to 2 AM on weekday nights. It's convenient if you've got the munchies while pulling an all-nighter or coming back from a party late at night.

I was on the Welcome Day tour and obviously lost :).. didn't mean to give out wrong info. Our housing guide did tell us that it was closing permanently at the end of this school year though.

It's all good. At least you've been on a campus tour prior to accepting the SIR. :)

Well it was the same day they had an article in the Daily Bruin about it. I'm just reporting what it said.

"Foster said Puzzles' closure is intended to give Dining Services a chance to evaluate the restaurant and renovate its location. Though she said it is possible that Puzzles will reopen after renovation, that will not be determined until after the evaluation."

http://www.dailybruin.com/news/articles.asp?ID=36740

Damn them! Puzzles must be reopened! First Caruso's, now Puzzles? Where's the outcry!?

Well Puzzles never really looked clean, especially if you knew their history. Plus everything they serve is dunked in grease for extra measure prior to serving, so I say good riddance

jyancy,

Who cares? There was nothing better than a double cheeseburger with a side of curly fries to fuel you for an all-nighter of studying.

Don't take away the joy of thousands of others just because you're a wussy nancy.

As long as MyPizza is still around there's a place to get the late-night grease!

What, rubber pizza? No thanks. :p

Since res halls have no ac, how hot or uncomfortable can it be during the summer or hot days?
When we we find out about the housing app results.

West LA is rarely hotter than 80-85, so it's usually not too bad. I lived in Saxon, and we never had a day that the ceiling fan couldn't handle.

I thought the res halls aren't open during the summer?
