Will Spring admits keep their same housing priority date or is there another process to determine priority for Spring?

That is a good question. Anyone know the answer?

According to the link below, you have to request to change to fall start and if admissions denies you, then they will offer you a spring contract in September.

Thanks for the link. That doesn't really answer the question regarding priority date though. Say we don't appeal for Fall or Summer, and are just going in Spring, I guess it's pretty much depending on what is available for Spring.

It sounds like if you appeal to start in an earlier semester you are subject also to what's available and have probably lost any priority date you had.

I'm going to confirm with Housing on Monday. That kinda stinks. My DD had the very first priority date of July 11th and was offered Spring admission. At least it wasn't a rejection so she's going for it.

That's not how I understood it. From my understanding, if they were changed to fall they will just update their system and keep the same priority date she had before. Generally they only change priority date for late payments and roommate preference. Well when you call housing, ask for Vince Roberts, he's in charge of assignments.

Thanks ASMAJ. We'll call Vince next week.
