Hi, I got accepted into the University of Michigan LSA for winter 2011, and when I was registering for Housing, I put an apartment down as my priority choice. I received my housing contract just a couple of days ago, and realized I was put on north campus as I believe I put down Northwood as the apartment choice. I was new to the housing application here so I wasn't aware of the location of these residential areas. I found any area on North Campus to be a bit out of reach (although I know there are buses that come), and wanted to get it changed. Earlier today I try to call the housing office to see if I can get my housing option changed to something on central (didn't care if it was a dormitory), and it appeared I could not until after I move-in or swap with someone else, although they were generally speaking, as at the school I go to currently (Wayne State University) was not very complicated to have them try and change your housing option, whether you would get it or not.

Is there anything I can do, such as email them to get it changed? I've read that Northwood III (the specific apartment complex I was put at) was for older students and it may not be as social relative to living areas on Central. The website says I have to agree to the Housing contract by the end of sunday, so I really don't know if I am just stuck here for the duration of the winter semester.
