Housing problems

So I've been trying to find a studio or 1bedroom but most places in IV seem taken. I don't intend on sharing with anyone so no RMs. Thoughts or suggestions? If I can't find a place in IV, what is the next best town/locale for UCSB students? One of the problems I noticed is that there doesn't appear to be any handicap parking in IV.

Help?

Have you checked craigslist?

Yes, nothing particularly interesting. Most of the craiglist ads are far from UCSB, I don’t want to live in Lompoc. Do you know how noisy IV is?

I don’t live there, but I’m a frequent visitor to SB and I always thought these apartments looked nice:

I’m sure they’re expensive though because they’re new. You also might want to contact the housing office. Some residents of Goleta rent rooms in their houses or condos and these are listed with the housing office, or at least that’s how it used to work. The accommodations may vary in privacy though, so if you don’t want any roommates it may not work for you. Because the area has a huge tourist base you might be able to find temporary housing through VRBO (vacation rental by owner) or other such site. Again, probably expensive but it may provide a stop gap until you can find something else.
