I signed up for housing on the second day it was open. Fortunately I was still able to sign up unlike some of my friends who tried after I did. Anyway, because of the fact that I won’t go to cal poly unless I can live in the dorms, I decided to call the housing office today and ask if I really was still a contender. She basically could have just said I have absolutely no shot at it and would not know for sure until May 1st! SIR day! Too late for me to choose a different school. So has anyone on here lived in Mustang Village or Stenner Glen? Where else can overflow freshman live? Thanks :)

you can do mustang or stenner.. valencia is a bit farther away, but thats also an option. you can also look for roommates off campus.

Did you also send your money in with the housing agreement forms signed? That was what actually gave you a spot. I overnighted mine the first day and received a housing confirmation on Saturday. I heard that kids who waited to pay when they got to Open House were too late.

Also - if you're going to apply to Stenner Glen, you'd better hurry. I heard some kids say at Open house that it was filling up too. But people like it.

I'm not sure the money is what gives you a spot. When I was at the Open House, I had sent in my application but not the money deposit and I talked to the administration and they said I was fine as long as I was in the first 2800 to send in my application; the money can come after.

However, this whole situation is very confusing and I hope to God me not sending in a check immediately didn't screw me from housing.

which is the best for off campus housing?
cuz i dont think i'll get a dorm..

mustang village probably the best off campus housing. really close to campus.

Quick note on the housing, it's pretty much all gone for all the dorms in campus. Stenner Glen has all it's room reserved and I'm on the wait list #30. Mustang Village still has the Studio, 2 bedroom/2 bath flat, and they still rooms in Mustang Village II..
