Housing Q for current students

Hello.

I am currently a sophomore and as you guys probably know, it's time to select housing.

What I currently know is that the CRC and URC are better than Clairmont tower because each person (in CRC and URC) gets their own bedroom for the same rate as Clairmont tower.

But is CRC better or URC? Does one provide a larger bedroom (even slightly) than the other? Is one closer to the SAAC and the bus stop? Anything else to consider?

Sorry, I'm a total noob when it comes to Clairmont campus.

Thanks.

URC is closer to SAAC and bus stop. I think the primary difference is that CRC offers 2-person apartments.

which are the best dorms? can someone list them in an order with decriptions?

i have been accepted to emory through being an emory scholars semifinalist. there is a good chance i will attend, but I want to wait until april to see where else I get into. If i want to get into a good dorm (Few/Evans/Longstreet Means), do I need to apply now?

yea… the sooner you apply, the better your chances

do i have to pay the deposit to apply? i cant pay 600 or so dollars just for the offchance i go to emory (however high that chance is)

bump…

the whole residence housing for freshmen is changing…so what im telling you is prolly a bit off…but better dorms-lsm/turman/fevans are themed-global cultures/citizenship/living green respectively. you do need to apply, but application is easy. more themes apparently to come so maybe you’ll have to write a few essays and they’ll choose now? or you can choose? every frosh dorm is now going to have its own theme…but i dont really know what the other ones are and im going to be an sa next year…either way the trinity are the best and the nicest.
