Housing q's

q1: I got a double in a triple suite. What the hell does that mean.

q2: I'm in Baits. does that suck?

q3: damn, im in baits.

Not sure what that means, possibly getting a triple for 2 people.

I had a friend who lived in Baits last year, and she told me that since baits is pretty much removed from the rest of campus, the only thing that people did was have sex. So not all hope is lost! :)

Are you ****ing serious. So we're isolated? I'm going to michigan with a gf whose staying in CA so that option is gone.

HOPE ISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ALL LOST AS;DLFJAL;SKDFJLAKSJDFKA

ya you are a good 10-15 miles from the rest of campus :-(

wow. how gay. I guess I should for sure bring my xbox 360 so ill have somethign to do LOL.

No I was kidding about that... it's not bad actually. there are busses going back and forth from central campus all day.

ehhhh wutever. hahahah

flong, you can always get your room switched during the year even though it's a hassle moving your stuff.

and baits isn't that bad at all. it's right next to bursley, and there tend to be a lot of good lookin' girls on north campus.

and long distance relationships do not tend to work out, especially when you're at michigan. just giving you a heads up.. hahaha.

oh really? are girls too good looking? Well im asian bro..lol i dont think White girls are too fond of yellow guys

I think this North Campus girls are good looking thing is a myth similar to the Bursley has the best food thing...all to make the North Campus kiddies feel better.

The two times I've been to North Campus, I've noticed that males outnumber females and more than half the fliers on the walls were written in Asian languages.

You'll be fine. There are lots of freshmen on North Campus. And then next year, you can move to Central Campus!

And starting college with a girlfriend/boyfriend back home is no fun.

why? 10 char

lol, are u serious?

okay, im trying to make the best of my situation dayngit : P

double in a triple suite means.. you're in a suite of three people including yourself.. but baits suites are actually made up of two separate rooms. so your triple isnt one huge room where three people live together, but its actually two rooms connected to each other. so the double part means that youre in the room with one other person, not the other room by yourself. im not sure if that made sense but yeah

After seeing yupkix' comment, I might have another idea. You have one roommate in your double, and you are connected to another double through a bathroom with a shower. That is what one of my friends in baits had last year.

Any info on BAIT's? Also are the girls really that hot ...crap LOL

Ummm...Michigan isn't known to have hot girls.

Note that the following is just my point of view from my experience and not your situation. Evaluate your own situation as you like.

Anyways (I'm bored, so welcome to my personal life...displayed on CC), I'm biased about the whole staying with your high school sweetheart thing. I dated a guy for 2 years and he went to Vanderbilt, while I went to Michigan. (There was a lot of controversy over why I went to Michigan, blah blah blah...Most people in Alabama don't think Michigan's any better than the University of Alabama or Auburn, while they think Vanderbilt's catching up with Harvard standards...and I had the opportunity to go to Vanderbilt for three times less than the cost of me going to Michigan. end rant)

Anyways, we decided that we would end our relationship before we both went to college. He wanted to have fun for four years and I was the type of girl who would probably be a little clingy in a long-distance relationship and who didn’t drink, didn’t cuss, and didn’t put out. However, he was pretty set on marrying me after those four years?

Yes, it sounds horrible.

I thought I would actually miss him. But, I got to Michigan and LOVED everything about college and everyone I met. I didn’t miss him for a single second. That sounds awful, but it’s true.
He, however, kept on calling me. He wasn’t settling into Vanderbilt well. He kept insisting that I transfer.

I still get clingy messages from him. However, last time I checked, he’s gotten used to college and loves Vanderbilt.

Anyways, the moral of the story is:
1.) It’s a lot easier to adjust to college if you don’t have to deal with the past and be all confused about your high school sweetheart.
2.) If you do have a hard time adjusting to a new place, it’s better to do it by yourself, as painful as that might be.

If, after both you and your girlfriend are settled in after the first few months of college and still want to get back together, then do so. If not, then obviously don’t. I discovered at Michigan, all past alliances and strings unattached, that when I was free to choose who I wanted to date after my high school relationship, I was a lot happier and more honest with myself.

Now, do I sound more like “Dear Abby” or “Dr. Phil”?

Sorry, but I think all of the hot girls (freshmen) will be in Bursley. Does Baits have a reputation for being a dorm with more minorities than usual? Can't remember if I read that in the Daily or not.

A double in a triple suite means you are in a double and the other room in the suite is a single.
