Housing Question

I have been accepted, and there is a big chance I will be attending TCU, but when should I apply for housing?

You should send in your deposit today. It is fully refundable if you decide not to attend TCU.

I talked to housing about a month and a half ago. They are assigning housing based on when you put in the deposit.

The deposit is actually NOT refundable.

From the TCU website:
"Your TCU non-refundable tuition deposit is required to reserve your place in the incoming class.

If you will be a freshman, the Housing Deposit reserves your place in the residence halls and sets your priority date for on-campus housing. All freshmen and sophomores who do not live with their parents/guardian are required to live on campus. "

This jives with what we were told on the visit as well.

CORRECTION:
The $400 refundable “Housing Deposit” and $500 non-refundable “Tuition Deposit” are separate.
