I just submitted my deposit to Loyola University Maryland last week and found roommates to do a suite with. We were all planning on going to the first week of freshman orientation to fill out our housing application because of the first come/ first served basis on housing. If we each request each other on every housing application do we have a good chance of getting our suite?

and another question: does anyone know what the housing application consists of?

How are you finding roommates already? Are you going to room with people you were at high school with?

During the summer freshman orientation you will be given an opportunity to fill out a roommate survey with about five questions such as do you smoke, what time do you go to bed, what is your favorite sport, what kind of music do you like etc. They also allow you to list the names of people you want to room with if you have any. As long as everyone in your group lists all of each others names you will get roomed with them. I am currently a sophomore and I am almost positive that the survey is not even used when rooming students. For example I said I did not smoke, went to bed late, and listened to rap music. I was roomed with a smoker who went to bed early. It ended up working out and if there is any problem between roommates there is an opportunity in the fall and spring to switch rooms called “move week”. Hope this helps.
