So I know I want to live in the towers, and I know that those are called the themed communities on the housing application.
However, I would prefer Yosemite over Sierra Madre. Is there a way to know what themes are in which tower? Or is it a mystery and all you can do is hope that your preferred theme is in Yosemite.
Hi Michelle11!! According to my friends that are in Yosemite and Sierra Madre now, they state that no matter what part of the complex you are in, you can participate in any of the themes available. When they applied there wasn’t really any particular section that was designated a theme. Both towers seem to coordinate with each other. Hope that helps a little bit. Also I remember you for ED thread. Glad you were able to convince family about Cal Poly!!
@calpoly13 and @r77r77‌ , oh okay, I was concerned that whatever theme I picked would heavily influence my experience, but I am glad that is not the case. However, my question was more of… how can I be sure to be in Yosemite instead of Sierra Madre. For example, if the food theme was in Yosemite and the travel theme was in sierra madre, I would rather put the food theme down as my top option… to get put in Yosemite. I hope that makes sense.
Basically, my question is… is there any way to help my chances of getting placed in Yosemite instead of Sierra Madre? ( I know there’s no huge difference but still. Haha).
@Michelle11‌ both yosemite and Sierra Madre are the same. There are coordinators that run the themes, so all tower residents can join in no matter where they live in the Towers. It’s easier for them that way. So no worries! Good luck. I’m so excited for fall!
