housing question

Hey,
Stupid question about housing. Sorry.
I'm in Weinstein with 2 other ppl. If my room is like WE -xxxxA- 1
and the other ppl's rooms are like WE - xxxxB - 1 and WE -xxxB - 2
does that mean that I have a single room and they are roomed together in a different room? Also what's this type of housing unit called - triple suite? Also, what's the right way to pronounce Weinstein because Ive heard ppl say it different. Thanks.
BTW I posted a long time ago that I was afraid that I was going to get my admission rescinded because I had just barely passed a couple of classes. Good news, I'm still in!

i don't know about anything except that it's pronounced whinesteen.

landshark - you're actually wrong about that. That's how people pronounce it but it's supposed to be pronounced wine-stine (but it would be weird if you went around saying it how it is supposed to be pronounced because nobody says that).

Hmm, I thought it was pronounced wine-stine as well because I knew someone who's last names was Weinstein and that was how we pronounced his name.
But eh, sometimes I pronounce it the other way too.

Everyone at nyu pronounces it wine-steen. That's the norm, anyway...
as for the original poster's main question, the A and B sides are completely different sides of weinstein.. For example, if you're dorm room is on floor 3A, that's not the same floor as 3B.

A and B at the end of the room number designate the different 'towers' at Weinstein. You're not in the same room or suite with those people. And yes, everyone pronounces it wine-steen at NYU including the people who have taught and worked at NYU for more years than any student has been there.

But that doesn't make any sense that I'm not even in a suite with these people cause on the housing assignment it said that they are my roomates...I just wanted to see if I was in the same room or in a different one, I think my first assumption was logical.
Thanks for ther responses though.
