Housing Question

Hey, So i accepted penn state a few days ago and paid the fees and all that fun stuff. Now, on eliving.com it says I should go ahead and accept my housing contract.

Now, my question is, if I go through and pick which dorm preferences I want and which meal plan I want, but dont pick a roommate; after submitting the contract, can I go back and change those things like add a roommate if i meet someone by then?

Yes, you can make changes after accepting your housing contract.

Also, meal points can be held over to the next semester. DOn;t worry about "overpaying" as they won;t be wasted.

Correction to my prior post - meal points are only held over the Christmas break, not over the summer.

You can also change your meal plan (I think until 2 weeks before the end of semester). So if you are running out of points you can increase the plan and if you expect to have a lot left, decrease the plan. My daughter had plan 3 in the fall and was close to running out. She increased it to 4, which left her with points to carry over to the spring semester. She took plan 3 in the spring and with the carry-over points just made it.

I think that the deadline to change your housing contract/preferences is May 15. Assignments are made by May 30, I believe.
