Hi i was just accepted off the waitlist and i need to fill out my housing app now. Im looking for traditional shared bathroom style housing, a double, and a social environment, what house gives me the best chance for these three given that most freshmen already have their housing assignments. I would also like to live with mostly freshmen.

anything in the quad (fisher, ware, riepe) but most people put those dorms as their first choices so it will be tough to get it. another good bet would be hill

the highrises are the opposite of what you are looking for

I would recommend the following in this order (although the Quad is definitely filled up so I wouldn't even try):

The Quad and Hill - almost all freshmen, almost all doubles and singles, communal bathrooms, the most social.

Kings Court - mostly freshmen, all doubles, communal bathrooms, but quieter, very close to Hill.

Stouffer - about half freshmen, all singles, communal bathrooms, very quiet, right next to the Quad.

Gregory and the high-rises (Harrison, Harnwell, Rodin) - apartment-style with private bathrooms.

I have visited UPenn 3 times and we have never been shown a dorm room. How are they ? someone in the Cafeteria told my husband they're very prone to bugs !
