how hard is it to get into a single room as a freshman? (Marshall, applied housing on the day of acceptance)

very .

It’s do-able.

well is it first-come first-serve basis?

idk i know that it’s lottery for returning students. On the housing site it says the choice of room for freshmen is determined by the time you turned in ur housing application

quite a few freshmen get singles. you just have to be one of the first ones to click that button

^See that’s what I tried to tell people on another thread and apparently it’s done randomly in some colleges.

Well it also is determined by the the pickiness of your housing application when they ask for your roommate things.

"^See that’s what I tried to tell people on another thread and apparently it’s done randomly in some colleges. "

Like at UCSB.

I was referring to each of the six colleges within UCSD

"I was referring to each of the six colleges within UCSD "

My bad.

^no you’re fine :)

I chose Marshall because it had the most single rooms and the GE requirements weren’t that bad…the move paid off…I was in a single both years on campus.

when did u turn in ur housing application?
