<p>So, I have already been accepted to UT for my major. I am not 100% sure I am going, but I have heard in order to get housing, one must apply obscenely early. Does anyone know how early I should apply? Also, if I get into Plan II, I would like to live in honors housing. I was wondering if anyone had lived there and had any opinions how it was?</p>
<p>Apply now. Literally go to the website, submit your application and pay the fee now. I am typing this while sitting in a supplemental room. You don’t want to be there next year so just go do it.</p>
<p>The honors dorms are special because its a group of smart people all together which obviously has its benefits. You don’t get the craziness you get over here in Jester. Which in my opinion is great but other people do not like it. Also, they are older dorms though they are reasonably recently renovated. In my opinion they are nicer than Jester West, Moore Hill, and the other small one next to jester. I would say they are better than East but I would prefer having my own bathroom. Duren and San Jacinto are the only two with private bathrooms and also probably have the nicest rooms.</p>
<p>Basically, if you want community bath - honors is the way to go. Otherwise do san jac or duren.

<p>confus is absolutely right. If you decide to go to UT, you will most likely be able to live in a dorm, if you apply now.</p>

<p>Last year I could update my preferences until either July/August 1. Chances are, you will have orientation before that so you can go around and check out the individual dorms/locations then.</p>
