I didn't realize that it costs more to live in some dorms than others. I thought that if I got accepted I might like to live in Madison double but it is around $2500 more to live there than in a 5-6 person Thurston room. That was really dumb of me, I should have figured it would cost more to live in a double than a 5-6 dorm. So if GW offers a fixed tuition that does not mean you have fixed room and board for the next 4 years, right?

Right. Housing costs will change every year. However, you are required to put less into the meal plan every year also. it looks like doubles on the Vern are in the cheapest rates also.

anywhere from 8-10k for rooms/yr unless you are upper classmenn. goes higher than that up to 12k!!
I know, it's ridiculous, right?

They lowered the price though for next year for some of the freshmen dorms. You can find rates through the housing site, but I am pretty sure triples in Thurston and Vern doubles were knocked down to the 7K range. It's true though that housing costs go up every year after freshman year.
