Housing rec for a transfer and frat question

I’m thinking about possibly transfering to Auburn next fall or spring and I wana know what is the best option for living being a transfer student. The last school I was at, it was 1 and done before everyone moved to off campus apartments. But because I don’t really know anyone I don’t know living off campus 1st year there would be. But I also do want to be an older kid surrounded by kids almost 2 years younger then me in a dorm…I don’t know how akward that would be haha.

Also in terms of fraternities. I’ve been to U of Alabama and I’ve heard about their frat reputation there and it basically scared me away from the school all together. How different is Auburn from Alabama in terms of how intense pledging and fraternities are as a whole?

Greek life at Auburn is far more laid back than UA. It is perfectly fine to not be in a fraternity and still have plenty to do. As far as dorms, mostly freshman live in the dorms but there is a lot of off campus housing that is closer to class than the dorms.
