Hey, I'm looking into housing for the Fall 2011 semester, and I'm looking for suggestions as to what is the best dorm to stay in for engineering. Anyone have any ideas?

Anything in Union Drive. If you want a nicer dorm, go for Eaton or Martin. Otherwise, Friley or Helser!

I agree that Friley, Eaton or Martin are good choices. They are close to UDCC (dining hall) however I would suggest to stay away from Helser. Lived there 3 years ago and hated every minute of it. It is a really old building and from what I remember it hasn’t improved much if any at all over the years.

Also the Maple, Willow, Larch (MWL) is a nice are to live too. They just opened up a brand new dining facility last year and it is close to the rec. Only problem with MWL is it is further away from central campus than the UDCC counterpart.

the thing i liked a lot about mwl is even though its farther away, it does have the ability to go places much faster.

you have the orange line that comes like every 5 minutes, your going to have 2 dining areas near you, also lied is right there. If you didn’t manage to get a parking spot outside the dorms, the orange line can drop you off at your stadium parking lot.

only far place to get to is the engineering buildings, but its literally a 400 yard walk.
