Housing Results 2006!!!

I asked for Hayden as my first choice and asked for the French explorations floor...however I got a low-cost triple and never asked for one. But I'm willing to make the best of it. However, does anyone know what exactly the configuration for a triple is? Is it like one big room and three beds...or one room with two beds and a back room with one bed or what?

It depends on the room. Usually they're fairly close to the size of a double, but with three beds; two bunked and one single.

i got the 55xx number. hope i get hayden and not weinstein

blah i'm not gonna worry about this. time to get back to my vacation 8)

You can take apart the bunk beds though, I think. I've seen triples with three single beds, and I've heard that they are "bunkable". I may be wrong, though.

Wow this takes me back to when I was a Freshmen. Hey everyone I am a senior at NYU and an RA at Third North (which by the way was voted best F.Y.R.E. community last year which means it was the best Freshmen residence hall) but anyways for those of you who are stressed about housing I would say don't worry about it. Yes it is expensive, but if you get involved in things like residential education in your sophomore year (in which you can become a peer educator and receive a free meal plan and discount on books, or become an RA your junior and or senior years in which you receive free housing, meal plan, and half price books) then it will more than make up for it. For now, just enjoy your last few weeks at home and get excited for the F.Y.R.E. Olympics which is probably the best thing about the first few months. Those of you at Third North we are the defending champions and we better win it again!!! Good luck to all of you and for those of you at Third north I'm sure that I'll see you around.

Is it hard to become an RA? I would love to do it my junior and senior year.

I got Rubin but I didn't get low cost. The only reason I wanted Rubin.

well that's funny cause i got rubin low cost and i didn't apply for it...

I got a Rubin triple, and I didn't apply for it either. Funny, because I was kinda hoping to get into U-Hall.

I got U hall
apt style:) question is: I only know that Ill be in Uhall, but dont know my room number or floor, do u get that info by post or can you check that online (albert?)

HAYDEN was my first choice and i got it ! applying ed paid off.

the rest of you that found out which hall/building you are in, did you find out online? (because i'm assuming you didnt apply to an explorations, so they're releasing housing info already?)

i found it out through my account balance
it says housing/uhall and the expense
but i still dont know which number my room is or what floor i am on, how did some of us get hold of that info???? normal post???

I believe that information will be released on the 1st of August, ascremer.

Aaaaaah!!!! Im so excited! I got my 2nd choice: Rubin regular...i was sort of dreading being in a triple, but i applied because how could i pass up a chance to save thousands of dollars (on my car insurance :) hehe). Im glad im not taking it away from people who really need it.

WOO-HOO! UHall!!

Ahh, I'm in a Rubin triple too, though I wish it were a Hayden triple

+1 for those who got Rubin triples and didn't apply for them. That said, Rubin regular was my first choice, so I like the building...I'm just hoping that it's...bearable?...in a triple.

Rubin Choices, super!
