Hi I'm an international student from Senegal. I have been admitted at Montgomery College in Rockville MD for Spring 2013.

I need some help regarding the housing. The institution doesn't offer on-campus housing so I have to find one but I don't know where to start...

Do you know if there's a place in particular where students live ? Or could you suggest a safe area to look at ?

Any other advice is welcome !

Best wishes !!!

Rockville is a safe area. Are you interested in roommates? I would suggest that you use Craigslist and email students who have an extra room for rent in the Rockville area.

You could arrange temporary housing for your first few days and arrange (via email) visits to these so you can see them and meet the potential roommates.

Craigslist is a good place to start. You also could check the classified ads at [Washington Post: Breaking News, World, US, DC News & Analysis](<a href=“http://www.washingtonpost.com %5DWashington”>http://www.washingtonpost.com ) and at [Gazette.Net Maryland Community News in Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and Frederick County](<a href=“http://www.gazette.net %5DGazette.Net ”>http://www.gazette.net ) for apartment shares in Montgomery County.

You will be able to take the Ride On bus for free in Montgomery County with your MC student ID, so if you don’t find anything really close to campus, provided the bus connections work, your transportation will be cheap. Use 51 Mannakee Street Rockville, MD 20850 as the address for the MC-Rockville campus when you use the Metro system trip planner [Metro - Home page](<a href=“http://wmata.com %5DMetro”>http://wmata.com ) And then check each Ride On schedule at that website to find out if the connections work for you [MCDOT Ride On Routes and Schedules](<a href=“http://www6.montgomerycountymd.gov/tsvtmpl.asp?url=/content/dot/transit/routesandschedules/rideonroutes.asp]MCDOT ”>http://www6.montgomerycountymd.gov/tsvtmpl.asp?url=/content/dot/transit/routesandschedules/rideonroutes.asp ) The Metro Rail and Metro Bus aren’t free with your student ID, so if you need to take those, include the cost in your budget.

The National Institute of Health Recreation Association maintains a list of apartments and rooms for rent. Most of the landlords are in the Bethesda area, and might not be interested in renting to college students, but it is worth a look: [NIH R&W Classified’s - Housing](<a href=“SLOT138: Daftar Judi Slot Gacor Online Pragmatic Play Hari Ini ”>SLOT138: Daftar Judi Slot Gacor Online Pragmatic Play Hari Ini )

Wishing you a great year!

Best
