<p>Alas, my son has not participated in any Nerf Gun wars this year. Second year engineering courses took care of that. We learned this when he opened his Christmas present of a new Nerf gun, saying he no longer had a use for it. He traded it in for a very large graphic novel that he devoured in a day’s time.</p>
