Temple seems like a great fit for DS, but we originally said we were going to cross off all schools that didn’t offer guaranteed housing. What are the chances of not getting housing as an upperclassman and is it an easy process to get off-campus housing (apartment complexes specifically geared toward undergrads)?
Most students at Temple seem to move off campus after their freshman year. The rental season starts in Oct. Yes, just as you are getting used to your student being away for school they hit you with looking for apartments. This frees up a lot of on-campus housing for those who wish to remain on campus. There are also “off-campus” housing options that are actually within the footprint of campus. Additionally Temple police patrol a very large section of off-campus housing where most students live.
