Residence Hall: Molson Hall
Room Type: single room male

This is my 3rd choice, my first and second being:
1. Douglas single
2. New Rez single

Kindda sad but it's ok ~.~

The red-taped giant hath spoken, and he has said that McConnell is where I am to reside.

I was hoping for Hogwarts/Douglas, but it's all good, as long as I wasn't in New Rez or Solin.

molson is the best rez for partying and social life...closely followed by gardner and McConnell...dont be sad

i would have died to be in molson my first year..

It looks like everyone wanted Douglas- myself included. damn. I really wanted it.

I'm in Greenbriar double, the perks are that it's cheap and it's close to school, but social life? sigh whatever.

i'm a second year, but i'm actually going to be living in green briar next year (single room, second floor) because i Opted to stay in rez

thank you dkm008, that makes me feel much better...

to beatlespwr, can you "chose" to stay in rez after first year? from what I heard after first year we are required to live off campus.

Gardner Hall - Single Male

"molson is the best rez for partying and social life...closely followed by gardner and McConnell...dont be sad"
Word the **** up! :D

beatlespwr: how do you already know you're going to live on the 2nd floor? I have a double, so hopefully my roommate's cool. Also, I've heard that the apartments vary in quality, so it depends on your luck, is this true? And are double-rooms next to single-rooms? Eh, what don't you just tell me the positives and negatives of living there?

RVC, female single.

Trying to look for the good in this, I really am. It seems like nobody got assigned here, either on CC or on Facebook, and if they did, they're pretty bummed.

ridonkulous: look on the bright side- it'll be clean b/c they're girls, and plus you just live there, you can party at Upper Rez and come home late, er, early in the morning, lol.

1) you can apply to stay in rez after first year if you want

2) about greenbriar, things to know:
i know i'm on the second floor because i'm a returning student so i was able to hand pick my room.

singles are next to doubles, and the building is fairly small so you'll get to know everyone there (jhhilly, if you pm me, ill tell you my name and my room number and we can meet in september).
good things: no meal plan - by the first month, everyone will be sick of their meal plans.
location - yoou can wake up at 8:30 for your 8:35 class, you dont have to walk up a huge hill to get home, or take the metro
people - the people in greenbriar tend to be fairly chill and awesome
experience - you'll be 10 times more independent than your friends in upper rez

negatives - the apartments (doubles) are kinda small, either you and your roomate will have to share the bedroom and share the livingroom, or one of you will have the bedroom and one will have the livingroom.
bring lots of lamps - the apartments have poor lighting - i'd recommend one big standing lamp, and a desk lamp
no meal plan - it can get stressful during exams - but remember, you can always buy a meal plan and you can always go out to eat.

any other questions?

any one want info on the other rez buildings?

Beatlespwr: What is this about the bedbugs and ants problem in MORE and Greenbriar? And were you affected by it?

Yo beatles, hit me up on the info to Gardner.

the bed bugs were only in one of the more houses, and that was because a summer subletter brought them in.
the ants affected me at the beginning, b ut then we went to the housingoffice and i had it taken care of. the building in general is pretty well maintained, but a bit old

Gardner is all the way on top of the hill. the rooms are small, and made of cinderblocks. but generally the people are awesome. Several of my friends are floor fellows there. you'll eat at BMH mon - fri, sometimes at teh RVC caf. on weeken ds you'll probably order pizza. don't be intimidatedby the shared bathrooms, you'll get used to it..
this really applies to the 3 BMH rez's (gardner, molson, mcconnel)

Small, eh? Hopefully large enough to fit two guitars and an amp.

meshuggener, you should be able to fit it

Most excellent. Thanks for the info man.

Residence Hall: McConnell Hall
Room Type: single room male

It was my third choice, not ideal but I think it'll be fine.

Douglas!!!
